Are you ready to dive into the magic of mermaiding? Join us for an immersive two-day Mermaid Workshop in Byron Bay with the legendary Hannah Mermaid and world-renowned photographer Brett Stanley. We’ll guide you through every step to create stunning underwater images, from mastering graceful mermaid movements and breathwork, to posing beautifully with tails or flowing dresses. Learn the secrets to managing buoyancy, keeping your eyes, ears, and nose comfortable, and perfecting your look with wigs and waterproof makeup. On Day 1, train in one of Byron Bay’s most beautiful pools, and on Day 2, join us for a breathtaking ocean adventure, capturing incredible shots at Nguthungulli Julian Rocks Nature Reserve. Don’t miss this unforgettable journey into the deep.

CAN I BOOK TO ATTEND ONE DAY ONLY?

Absolutely! You can book to attend just one day of the workshop. However, if you’re planning to join our boat adventure, it’s essential that you’re already proficient and comfortable swimming in a mermaid tail in open water. We won’t be able to cover the basics of mermaiding during the boat photography excursion. For the best experience, we highly recommend participating in the first day of coaching and training to get fully prepared.

BETWEEN THEM, Brett Stanley Photography & Hannah Mermaid HAVE DECADES OF EXPERIENCE WORKING UNDERWATER AND CAN GIVE YOU THE RIGHT INFORMATION TO NOT ONLY LOOK AMAZING BUT TO STAY SAFE AS WELL.

Note: No experience is necessary, but you must be able to swim and be comfortable in 9ft/3m of water.

Mermaid Tails are optional, but any other dress or outfit is totally fine.

🧜🏽‍♂️Hannah Mermaid ~ Join Hannah for a captivating discussion on underwater modeling gleaned from her 20+ years of professional mermaid experience. Delve into the art of breathwork, yoga & movement to strengthen and tonify your body, allowing you to swim gracefully and perform underwater. Hannah shares her wealth of knowledge and enthralling tales of ocean animal encounters that will inspire your love of the sea.

Aradia Julia Sunseri is a professional tribal fusion bellydancer and performance artist with over 15 years of experience in movement arts. She founded Ritual Movement Arts “Women’s Modern Mystery School” in 2008 and holds degrees in somatic therapy, yoga Nidra, womb healing, and tantra. Aradia’s style blends Tribal/Temple fusion belly dance, modern dance, fire dance, ballet, and butoh, drawing from Ayurveda, yoga, somatic dance therapy, and ritual. As a certified Ayurveda, yoga, and sacred dance practitioner, Aradia invites you to dance as a path to healing and holistic embodiment. She leads international retreats, workshops, and e-courses to help women connect with their inner wildness and purpose.

While lunches will occasionally be provided, the highlight of the culinary experience will be a special final goodbye dinner, celebrating the flavors of the region with a delicious and health-conscious feast that perfectly concludes the retreat.

BEACH CLEAN UP:

As part of the Remember Atlantis Retreat at Siren Sanctuary, we’ll unite for a beach clean-up mission to collect trash along the otherwise pristine coastline. This hands-on effort is a way to give back to the ocean that inspires us, helping protect marine life and maintain the natural beauty of the area. By working together, we’ll make a tangible difference for the local environment, fostering a deeper connection to the ocean and reinforcing our shared commitment to conservation and sustainability.

ANIMAL RESCUE CENTER:

At each retreat, we visit and donate to the local wildlife rescue center, a vital organization that has rescued 500–700 animals annually since 2008, with over 40% successfully returned to their natural habitat. As animal lovers and environmentalists, this is a meaningful way to support impactful, local conservation work. During our visit, you’ll learn about indigenous wildlife and have the chance to meet animals currently in rehabilitation, deepening your connection to the region and its incredible biodiversity.
